Aero Blasters

You start of with a plane, which has infinite bullets and dodge enemy fire while shooting them down.

You have your normal weapons which you can upgrade by grabbing power ups. The variety of power ups are the same; missles, turrets, extra guns and even guns which fire behind you. Nothing too fancy but adequate enough. There are two problems with this, one you can not power up the “extra's” like the rockets, you can only change them by grabbing a different power up and two, to change your power up type you have collect a different one on screen. This is annoying when you just know you need a backward firing gun power up but can't get it because there aren't any “power-up” ships around.

Yet the people of planet Earth never suspected that of all the planets in the Galaxy, Earth was to be Hilagi's next target.

Atomic Robo Kid

The game takes place on the space outpost Terra-12. It was hit by cosmic radiation, which mutated most of the life forms on the outpost. The radiation was followed by a group of aliens lead by robotic “governors”. The Atomic Robo Kid is the colonist's last hope.

As the half-human half-cyborg flying machine of the title, you are faced with many levels to clear of enemies. The gameplay is horizontally scrolling. Your unit is able to fly and then hold at a certain level in space. Defeated enemies often release gems, which can be collected towards power-ups. These include more powerful or multi-directional firing.

This is where you come in, as one of two brothers, you must destroy the evil that has infiltrated your planet before it's too late. You've got a 360-degree firing radius, and you're going to need it to handle the hordes of enemies that will bombard you with all kinds of weapons and traps.

Phelios

Phelios is an oldschool 2d helicopter game.

Phelios places you in the role of Apollo. Your mission is to attain the legendary sword Phelios and rescue Artemis from the monstrous Typhon. The last type of game that you'd expect to have a plot like this would probably be a shoot 'em up, but that's exactly what Phelios is – and it's a darn good one at that.

Monstrosities ranging from Medusa and Cerberus to the three blind old ladies in “Clash of the Titans” show up in Phelios. Your task is to destroy these abominations, and your trusty horse Pegasus accompanies you on your quest. Far from being your ordinary mammal, Pegasus is a fantastic winged beast, and he also represents your mode of transportation in the game.

Terminator 2: Arcade Game

A conversion of the arcade game. The T2: Arcade game is a fun gun game based on the film Terminator 2. One or two players can play at the same time shooting the Terminators and various other bad guys culminating in the virtually indestructible T-2000 himself.

If you followed the movie truthfully and want to get into the game then you should have no trouble and confusion for the game follows Terminator 2 the movie pretty well. For all you newbies who want to get into the game, to make it as easy as possible, you play as a Terminator. You are from the future captured and reprogrammed by the human resistence group. You must get to and save John Connor first before the T-1000 does. While doing this the safety and well being of mankind lies in your hands. You are mankinds last hope for survival!

Curse

Released in 1989 very early, Curse was anything but a “hit”. Curse features strange organic creatures and wonderful scroll levels. Add in great themes and boss design and you are on your way to shooter bliss.

Curse action is fast most of the time and has 5 levels which are discouraging.

The enemies in Curse game are actually unpredictable. Some may shoot before getting shot or vice versa. Sometimes, what you thought was something harmless would suddenly fire at you when you drop your guard and vice versa. This adds a significant amount of surprise in the game, hence making it more challenging. Suddenly, five stages don't seem so measly anymore.

Raiden Trad

By the year 2090 A.D., after generations of people died in countless world wars, a world-allied government was established, and the people of Earth live peacefully. Unfortunately, that calm was cut short by the threat of an alien invasion. The forces of Carnass launched an aggressive and deadly approach, with the Earth's annihilation being the primary goal. The creation of the Raiden fighter bomber is the one chance to eliminate the threat of ultimate destruction. As an expert pilot, you've been selected as the planet's last hope against the alien menace. Strapping yourself in behind the control of Raiden, you'll have your hands full as you go into battle as a one-man army against a horde of mechanical maniacs. This top-down action-fest will throw all kinds of enemies at you, and only your quick reflexes and split-second decision making skills will do, as you fight to save your home.

Rambo 3

Rambo 3 is a game based on a movie.

The thing with action movies is that you never look for more than an outline of a story. It's all about the action, and this game gets it down fairly well. Colonel Trautman is captured by the Commies, and Rambo must save him.

Levels, which include troop barracks, a prison camp and a Soviet base, scroll to the right as Soviet soldiers, helicopters and tanks attack. To survive for any length of time, players must be quick and accurate as they fire at enemies, which pop up behind obstacles or run across the screen. There's a special potion to replenish your health meter, and grenades are on hand (so to speak) to bail you out of difficult situations. The explosions and gunfire could use a shot of testosterone, but the graphics are as robust and colorful as the title hero.
